Plastic press fasteners include flat press fasteners as well as plastic double rivets and ratchet fasteners. All plastic press fasteners are easily assembled manually or with a plastic hammer.

Flat press fasteners are ideal for small applications. Plastic double rivets and ratchet fasteners are more suitable for larger capacities. An advantage of the ratchet fastener is that it can easily be combined with a ball chain for hanging purposes.

Plastic press fasteners – What are the sizes?

Flat press fasteners are suitable for smaller applications and can only be used for small capacities. The fasteners are available in the following capacities:

• 1.5 mm / 2.5 mm

Plastic double rivets are suitable for a larger application than flat fasteners. These are available in various sizes in order to reach the following capacities:

• 2.5 mm / 5 mm / 7.5 mm / 9 mm

Ratchet fasteners, equipped with a hole through the length, are available in three sizes for the following capacities:

• 3 mm / 6 mm / 9 mm

Which materials exist?

Both flat press fasteners and the bigger plastic double rivers are available in black and white plastic. Should you wish for another colour, please contact us for an order at request.

Ratchet fasteners are available in transparent plastic. For comparable black and white models please check our binding screws with hole.

Plastic press fasteners – Usage & Assembly

Flat press fasteners are most suitable for small applications such as fans. You can easily assemble them by clicking the two parts together.

Plastic double rivets and ratchet fasteners are mostly used for swatches or larger fans, similar to binding screws. They are however not equipped with thread but can be assembled by clicking them together manually or with a plastic hammer. Ratchet fasteners are also ideal in combination with ball chain that can be led through the length of the tube.

All three types of plastic press fasteners create a permanent connection. The two parts attach themselves to each other. They cannot be compared to press buttons on clothing which can be opened and closed frequently. These can be found on a separate page.
